Our Work Judged
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text:
“And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:” 1 Peter 1v17 (KJV)
As believers, we have been called to bear fruit. John 15v16 (AMP) says “You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you] that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as presenting all that I AM], He may give it to you.” Many of us are familiar with Jeremiah 29v11 (AMP) which says “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.” So we are here for a purpose. Nobody is here by mistake or without a purpose – yes, regardless of how you were brought into this world, your upbringing, your education, your mistakes – God has a plan for your life. Ephesians 2v10 (KJV) says “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” There are certain works God would have you do. If you do not know already, you should call unto God (Jeremiah 33v3), that He may show you great and mighty things that you do not know of. You should submit to the leading of the Spirit that He may lead you in the best pathway for your life (Psalm 32v8). Many of us are familiar with the parable of the talents, where the master went on a journey but gave his servants talents, five, two, and one respectively, according to their ability. The ones with five and two traded theirs and gained five and two again, but the one with one talent buried his. The first two servants were called good and faithful servant, but the last was called wicked and slothful, and unprofitable servant (Matthew 25v14-30). What are you doing with what God has endowed you with? Are you using it for His glory?
Supplementary Text
“But on judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person’s work has any value. If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames.” 1 Corinthians 3v13-15 (NLT)
Heavenly Father, please grant me the grace to be a profitable servant, in Jesus name, amen.
