Tried Faith (3)

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. The Bible says:

Primary Text:
“That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:” 1 Peter 1v6 (KJV)

Many of us are familiar with the song: I can only imagine. What will we do when we see Jesus? By God’s grace, we will be on the side of those who are jubilating, and rejoicing, in Jesus name, amen. Hebrews 12v1-2 tells us of witnesses which surround us. These witnesses are those which have gone before us, people of faith, like Moses who “refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward.” (Hebrews 11v24-25). Let ours be one of the great stories that would be told, of people who despite all odds, held on to their faith. People who laid aside every weight, and sin, and looked to Jesus. Let us run this race with joy. Remember, what was written before, was written as examples for us. 1 Timothy 6v12 says “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.” If this race was easy, it won’t be called a fight. However, we thank God because through Christ, we have the victory.

Supplementary Text
“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race which is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12v1-2 (KJV)

Father, I thank You for Your Word. Father, grant me the grace to fight the good fight of faith in Jesus name, amen.
