Our Work Judged (2)

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text:
“And if you call upon Him as [your] Father Who judges each one impartially according to what he does, [then] you should conduct yourselves with true reverence throughout the time of your temporary residence [on the earth, whether long or short].:” 1 Peter 1v17 (AMP)

Dearly beloved, given that we know that God will judge all that we do, regardless of who we are, the Bible says we should conduct ourselves with true reverence throughout our time here on earth. We remember Joseph, who was in charge of his master Potiphar’s house, but Potiphar’s wife began to make advances towards him. But his response was “There is none greater in this house than I, neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” (Genesis 39v9). Sometimes, regardless of how tempted we are to do something, the fear of God constrains us. The promise of everlasting life keeps us. Proverbs 1v7 (AMP) says “The reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is the beginning and the principal and choice part of knowledge [its starting point and its essence]; but fools despise skillful and godly Wisdom, instruction, and discipline.” In all we do, let us remember that God is watching us, He sees our actions, He sees our heart. Even if we can deceive every other person, we cannot deceive Him. He is Omniscient and all-knowing. Ecclesiastes 11v9 says “Rejoice, o young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.” And the wonderful thing is that the Holy Spirit is here to help us live a victorious Christian life.

Supplementary Text
“THEREFORE, SINCE these [great] promises are ours, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates and defiles body and spirit, and bring [our] consecration to completeness in the [reverential] fear of God.” 2 Corinthians 7v1 (AMP)

Father, I thank You for Your Word. Lord, I pray that the Spirit of the fear of the Lord will be mighty upon me, in Jesus name, amen. Teach me to walk in Your ways at all times in Jesus name, amen.
