Kept!
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“Who are being guarded (garrisoned) by God’s power through [your] faith [till you fully inherit that final] salvation that is ready to be revealed [for you] in the last time.” 1 Peter 1v5 (AMP)
Our walk with God is indeed one of faith, without which it is “impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him” (Hebrews 11v6). 1 Peter 1v5 (NLT) says “And through your faith, God is protecting you by His power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see.” That’s why the Bible tells us that “For yet a little while, and He that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.” (Hebrews 10v37-39, KJV). It is not enough to believe God for our salvation, we have to keep holding on to the profession of our faith, believing all that He has told us about our redemption, the forgiveness of sin, that He is coming back, that He doesn’t condemn us, about His grace e.t.c. We need to believe like our Father Abraham: “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able also to perform.” (Romans 4v20-21). Our God keeps us by His power, as we continue to keep our faith in Him. What do your actions say about what you believe about God? Are you keeping the faith or turning your back on God?
Supplementary Text
“Now to Him Who is able to keep you without stumbling or slipping or falling, and to present [you] unblemished (blameless and faultless) before the presence of His glory in triumphant joy and exultation [with unspeakable, ecstatic delight] – To the one only God, our Saviour through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory (splendor), majesty, might and dominion, and power and authority, before all time and now and forever (unto all the ages of eternity). Amen (so be it).” Jude 1v24-25 (AMP)
