God’s Ambassadors

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“We are Christ’s ambassadors. God is using us to speak to you: we beg you, as though Christ Himself were here pleading with you, receive the love He offers you – be reconciled to God. For God took the sinless Christ and poured into Him our sins. Then, in exchange, He poured God’s goodness into us!” 2 Corinthians 5v20-21 (NLT)

An ambassador can seen as “an authorized representative or messenger” (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/ambassador?s=t). He or she can be sent with a message from his people to another. This could be under times of peace or war. For example in Exodus 7v1 (TLB) the Bible says “Then the Lord said to Moses, “See, I have appointed you as My ambassador to Pharaoh, and your brother, Aaron, shall be your spokesman.” In this situation, the children of Israel were in Egypt, over which Pharaoh presided, and they had begun to be oppressed by the Egyptians. God used Moses as an ambassador to Pharaoh to give him a message to let God’s people go. But now God has a message of hope, peace, a good news for people. A message that tells of His love as we see in John 3v16 (KJV) – “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” He wants men and women all over to be reconciled to Him, and we can be Christ’s ambassadors bringing this message. Isaiah 52v7 (NLT) says “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns!”

Supplementary Text
“A wicked messenger falls into evil, but a faithful ambassador brings healing.” Proverbs 13v17 (AMP)

Prayer
Father, I thank You for Your Word. I thank You for the salvation of my soul. Lord, I submit myself to You this day to be Your ambassador. I pray for the grace to proclaim the good news of the gospel, Your love and desire to be reconciled to the world in Jesus name, amen. Open my eyes o Lord to see the opportunities all around me and the boldness to speak in Jesus name, amen.
