It's not in vain

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“For you yourselves know, brethren, that our coming among you was not useless and fruitless.” 1 Thessalonians 2v1 (AMP)

Sometimes we do not know or appreciate the impact that our steps of love done in faith make. We might think that our good works –  phone calls to cheer others up, the words we speak to encourage others, the money we give to help those in need, the prayers we offer for loved ones, the message of salvation we preach, living a life of purity and holiness and working in the fear of the Lord – is not making a difference, but it does. 1 Corinthians 15v58 (NLT) encourages us by saying “So, my dear, brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless. I pray that every seed you have sown will bring forth fruit in Jesus name, amen. Now, there might be situations whereby the work seems in vain. For example in Galatians 4v11 (KJV), Paul says “I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.” But even with that, 2 Thessalonians 3v13 (AMP) says “And as for you, brethren, do not become weary or lose heart in doing right [but continue in well-doing without weakening.” Besides, there is a reward in due time: “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” (Galatians 6v9, NLT).

Supplementary Text
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord], knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose].” 1 Corinthians 15v58 (AMP)

Prayer
Father, I appreciate You. I thank You for every work done for You. I thank You because it is not in vain. I thank You because You a rewarder of them that diligently seek You. Help us Lord not to be weary in well doing. Strengthen us to work for and with You, with enthusiasm and wholeheartedly, in Jesus name, amen.
