Yield to God (2)

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“Do not let any part of our bodies become tools of wickedness, to be used for sinning; but give yourselves completely to God – every part of you – for you are back from death and you want to be tools in the hands of God, to be used for His good purposes.” Romans 6v13 (TLB)

One way in which we can know what God would have us do with our lives, and every member of our body is through His Word. Romans 12v1-2 (AMP) tells us “I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].” The world in which we live and exist has its own values, customs, and ways of thinking, but we as believers need to let our minds be transformed, allowing it to be conformed to God’s ways, and values. The Bible is God speaking to us, and through it we can know what pleases Him and what doesn’t. 2 Timothy 3v16-17 (AMP) says “Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action), So that the man of God may be complete and proficient, well fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work.”

Supplementary Text
“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.” 1 Peter 2v2-3 (KJV)

Prayer
Father, we thank You for Your Word. We pray that You will ignite a passion in our hearts for Your Word and Your Presence. We pray as well for the grace to continually renew our minds to conform to Your perfect and acceptable will in Jesus name, amen.
