Peace be unto you
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“Paul,
Silvanus (Silas), and Timothy, to the assembly (church) of the Thessalonians in
God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah): Grace (spiritual
blessing and divine favor) to you and [heart] peace.” 1 Thessalonians 1v1 (AMP)
Another
element which one would often see in greetings in the scripture apart from
grace is peace. Beloved, peace be unto you. The Lord Jesus Himself recognized
the importance of this peace as He Himself left His peace with us. John 14v27
(AMP) saying “Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to
you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be
troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated
and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and
cowardly and unsettled.]” Beloved, I pray that “… God the Father and the Lord
Jesus Christ give you rich blessings and peace-filled hearts and minds.” (2
Thessalonians 1v2, TLB). Indeed our God is Himself called the God of peace (1
Thessalonians 5v23), and one way in which He has provided by which we can continually
enjoy His peace is through prayer:-
Supplementary Text
“Don’t
worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and
don’t forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this, you will experience
God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand.
His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you
trust in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4v6-7 (TLB)
Prayer
From
2 Thessalonians 3v16 (AMP) I pray, that the Lord of peace Himself grant you His
peace, the peace of His kingdom, at all times and in all ways, under all
circumstances and conditions, whatever comes. May the Lord be with you all in
Jesus name, amen.
