Grace be to you
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“Paul,
Silvanus (Silas), and Timothy, to the assembly (church) of the Thessalonians in
God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah): Grace (spiritual
blessing and divine favor) to you and [heart] peace.” 1 Thessalonians 1v1 (AMP)
We
find in the letters written that oftentimes grace is asked to be to the
recipient(s) of the message, as we see in verse above. We are saved by grace
and become partakers of the wonderful promises of God through this grace. 2
Thessalonians 2v16-17 (NLT) saying “Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and
God our Father, who loved us and by His grace gave us eternal comfort and a
wonderful hope, comfort you and strengthen you in every good thing you do and
say.” But apart from the saving grace of God, there is a continuing work that
grace plays in the life of the believer. Paul for example wrote “For I am the
least [worthy] of the apostles, who am not fit or deserving to be called an
apostle, because I once wronged and pursued and molested the church of God
[oppressing it with cruelty and violence]. But by the grace (the unmerited
favor and blessing) of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not
[found to be] for nothing (fruitless and without effect). In fact, I worked
harder than all of them [the apostles], though it was not really I, but the
grace (the unmerited favor and blessing) of God which was with me.” Amen. Beloved,
we thank God for the saving grace of God, but His grace is also available for
all that He will have us to be…. and this grace is sufficient for us (2
Corinthians 12v9). Do you need grace for work, ministry, family that the Lord’s
name might be glorified, ask Him for it.
Supplementary Text
“The
grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.” 2 Thessalonians 3v18
(KJV)
Prayer
From
2 Thessalonians 1v11-12 (NLT), I pray that our God will enable us to live a
life worthy of His call. May He give us the power to accomplish all the good
things our faith prompts us to do. Then the name of our Lord Jesus will be
honored because of the way we live, and we will be honored along with Him. We
thank You Lord because all this is made possible because of the grace of our
God and Lord, Jesus Christ; in Jesus name we pray with thanksgiving, amen.
