Growth
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text: Psalm 105v24
“The LORD made His people very fruitful; He made them too numerous for their foes,” Psalm 105v24 (NIV)
“The LORD made His people grow in number, and He made them stronger than their enemies.” Psalm 105v24 (NCV)
The children of Israel were in Egypt, and there God caused them to grow – even in the midst of adversity. I am reminded of the early church – as they were persecuted, and scattered around, the gospel spread (Acts 8v1-4). As God’s people like Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego went through persecutions, God’s name was glorified. David went through tough times as well, and we got different psalms, and an example of someone who was after God’s heart. In your life, when you go through the trials and tribulations, you can ask, God, what are you teaching me in this? What are you bringing out of my life with this.
Supplementary Text:
“And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty, and the land was filled with them. Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph. And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we: Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land. Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses. But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel” Exodus 1v7-12 (KJV)
“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” (John 16v33, AMP)
Prayer
Father, I thank You for this day that You have made. I thank You for Your goodness and Your faithfulness. Blessed be Your holy name forevermore. Father, I pray that You glorify Yourself in my life in everyway, in Jesus name, amen.
