A Man’s Gift

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for another Friday which He has brought to pass ☺ We thank Him for His goodness, His grace, and His promises.

Primary Text: Psalm 105v20
“The king sent and loosed him, even the ruler of the peoples, and let him go free.” Psalm 105v20 (AMP)

It came to pass for Joseph. One day, his story changed, and his breakthrough came. One day he was in prison, and the next thing he knew, he was being sent for by the king, and he was free. His gift caused him to be remembered, for the king had a dream which he could not interpret. And because someone knew that Joseph could interpret dreams, he was sent for. The Bible says “A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men.” Proverbs 18v16 (AMP). You have a gift. There is something God has placed on the inside of you, which you can do very well, by His grace, and His help. But never be deceived to think it is about you, or your abilities. Joseph answered the Butler and the Wine bearer that “… Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams…” (Genesis 40v8). Though it was said that Daniel “had understanding in all [kinds of] visions and dreams” (Daniel 1v17, AMP), Daniel was quick to ascribe the glory to God who gave him that ability, he telling the king, “The [mysterious] secret which the king has demanded neither the wise men, enchanters, magicians, nor astrologers can show the king, But there is a God in heaven Who reveals secrets, and He has made known to King Nebuchadnezzar what it is that shall be in the latter days…” Daniel 2v27&28 (AMP). God gives us gifts, but we should never forget that without Him we can do nothing.

Supplementary Text:
“Remain in Me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in Me. “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in Me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in Me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. But if you remain in Me and My words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! When you produce much fruit, you are My true disciples. This brings great glory to My Father.” John 15v4-8 (NLT)

Prayer
Father, we thank You for Your Word this day. Father, I pray for a humble and contrite spirit, and the grace to remain in You forever in Jesus name, amen.
