Their Sojourn

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text: Psalm 105v23
“Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.” Psalm 105v23 (AMP)

Just as Israel came to sojourn in Egypt, so also are we sojourners on earth. Jesus said, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” (John 14v1-3, KJV). The earth is not our final bus stop. Imagine if there were Israelites who before the Lord sent Moses to take them out of Egypt, had become familiar, desired to and started living with the Egyptians, in their own homes, what would have happened to them when the plagues started coming upon the Egyptians? The same way, Jesus is coming back for His Church. He has given us His Word that He is coming again to receive us unto Himself and He is going to fulfill it. Don’t get discouraged. Don’t look back after putting your hand to the plough.

Supplementary Text:
“And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9v62 (KJV)

“Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.” They deliberately forget that God made the heavens by the word of His command, and He brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water. Then He used the water to destroy the ancient world with a mighty flood. And by the same word, the present heavens and earth have been stored up for fire. They are being kept for the day of judgment, when ungodly people will be destroyed. But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. The Lord isn’t really being slow about His promise, as some people think. No, He is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.” 2 Peter 3v3-9 (NLT)

Prayer
Father, keep me in You until the end in Jesus name, amen.
