Taught by the Holy Spirit (2)

 Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His goodness, faithfulness and tendermercies. He is indeed faithful!

Primary Text

“And we are setting these truths forth in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the [Holy] Spirit, combining and interpreting spiritual truths with spiritual language [to those who possess the Holy Spirit].” 1 Corinthians 2v13 (AMP)

“Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth, comparing spiritual things with spiritual.” 1 Corinthians 2v13 (KJV)

“This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.” 1 Corinthians 2v13 (NIV)

“When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths.” 1 Corinthians 2v13 (NLT)

Paul here is saying to the Corinthians concerning what they speak that it isn’t something that came up from man’s wisdom. Beloved, the truth about the gospel, God’s love for us, salvation and other spiritual truths, come not from human wisdom, but they are things that have been taught by the Holy Ghost. The Spirit gives the words to explain these spiritual truths and we thank God for it.

“Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the [Holy] Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God [the divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man’s scrutiny]. For what person perceives (knows and understands) what passes through a man’s thoughts except the man’s own spirit within him? Just so no one discerns (comes to know and comprehend) the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.” 1 Corinthians 2v10-11 (AMP)

Prayer

Father, we thank You for Your Word, and Your Spirit. We ask again for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that I may know You better in Jesus name, amen.
