Taught by the Holy Spirit (3)

 Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His goodness, faithfulness, lovingkindness and tendermercies.

Primary Text

“But the natural, nonspiritual man does not accept or welcome or admit into his heart the gifts and teachings and revelations of the Spirit of God, for they are folly (meaningless nonsense) to him; and he is incapable of knowing them [of progressively recognizing, understanding, and becoming better acquainted with them] because they are spiritually discerned and estimated and appreciated.” 1 Corinthians 2v14 (AMP)

“But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.” 1 Corinthians 2v14 (NLT)

I think of the parable of the sower, and the seed that fell along the “traveled path and was trodden underfoot, and the birds of the air ate it up… The seed is the Word of God. Those along the traveled road are the people who have heard; then the devil comes and carries away the message out of their hearts, that they may not believe (acknowledge Me as their Savior and devote themselves to Me) and be saved [here and hereafter].” (Luke 8v5,11-12). Thank God for the Spirit of God. Thank God for the illumination, understanding, appreciation, and realization of God’s Word and truth. Thank God. As the verse above tells us, those who are not spiritual, do not accept, or admit or welcome these truths. John 14v17 (NIV) tells us “the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you.” Thank God we do have the Spirit of truth and can accept and receive and appreciate spiritual truths.

Prayer

Father, we thank You for Your Word and for the salvation of our souls. We pray for those who do not know You o God, that You will send laborers to them, that You will shine Your light into their lives that they may come to comprehend fully the precious gift of salvation You have given to them in Jesus name we pray, amen.
