A carnal walk
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“However,
brethren, I could not talk to you as to spiritual [men], but as to nonspiritual
[men of the flesh, in whom the carnal nature predominates], as to mere infants
[in the new life] in Christ [unable to talk yet!] I fed you with milk, not
solid food, for you were not yet strong enough [to be ready for it]; but even
yet you are not strong enough [to be ready for it], For you are still
[unspiritual, having the nature] of the flesh [under the control of ordinary
impulses]. For as long as [there are] envying and jealousy and wrangling and
factions among you, are you not unspiritual and of the flesh, behaving yourselves
after a human standard and like mere (unchanged) men?” 1 Corinthians 3v1-3
(AMP)
The
carnal walk is one in which ones flesh still dominates. One in which one is
still being controlled by the ordinary impulses of the flesh. Romans 8v5-8
(NLT) says “Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful
things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that
please the Spirit. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to
death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. For
the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and
it never will. That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful
nature can never please God.” Beloved, are you still allowing your sinful
nature control you? You do not have to! Romans 6v12-14 (NLT) says “Do not let
sin control the way you live; do not give in to sinful desires. Do not let any
part of your body become an instrument of evil to serve sin. Instead, give
yourselves completely to God, for you were dead, but now you have new life. So
use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God.
Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of
the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.” Hallelujah.
Memory Verse
“For
sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under
grace.” Romans 8v14 (KJV)
Prayer
Father,
we thank You so much for Your goodness, mercy and love. We thank You for Your
faithfulness. We thank You because we are not under the law but under grace,
and sin does not have dominion over us. We pray You forgive us in anyway we
have sinned against You and we yield every part of our body as instruments for
righteousness, in Jesus name we pray, amen.
