His Saving Grace
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.
Primary Text
“Because
of God’s grace to me, ...” 1 Corinthians 3v10-11 (NLT)
“According
to the grace ...” 1 Corinthians 3v10-11 (AMP)
Thank
God for His grace, His amazing grace. Because of His grace, we are saved. Not
because of our background, or wealth, or family, but because of His grace. Ephesians
2v8-9 (AMP) says “For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are
saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation)
through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own
doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God; Not
because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law’s demands], lest any man
should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one
can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.]” God be praised for His
saving grace, that He loved us so much that He sent Jesus to die for us (John
3v16), and Jesus also laid down His life for us (John 10v17-18 ). And the
amazing thing is that it was even while we were yet sinners that Christ died
for us. Romans 5v6-8 (NIV) telling us that “You see, at just the right time,
when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will
anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might
possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While
we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Supplementary Text
“Remember,
dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or
powerful or wealthy when God called you. Instead, God chose things the world
considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And He chose
things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful. God chose things
despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring
to nothing what the world considers important. As a result, no one can ever
boast in the presence of God.” 1 Corinthians 1v26-29 (NLT)
Prayer
Our
heavenly Father, we thank You so much for Your amazing saving grace in Jesus
name, amen.
