A rewarded work
Hello
everyone,
How
are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Happy happy
happy new month. May this be a month where you will experience the great grace
of God, in Jesus name, amen.
Primary Text
“The
work of each [one] will become [plainly, openly] known (shown for what it is);
for the day [of Christ] will disclose and declare it, because it will be
revealed with fire, and the fire will test and critically appraise the
character and worth of the work each person has done. If the work which any
person has built on this Foundation [any product of his efforts whatever]
survives [this test], he will get his reward.” 1 Corinthians 3v13-14 (AMP)
As
1 Corinthians 3v8 (AMP) says “He who plants and he who waters are equal (one in
aim, of the same importance and esteem), yet each shall receive his own reward
(wages), according to his own labor. The Bible is thus telling us that for the
labor one does, there will be a reward. However, the work you do will be tested
by fire to see of what sort it is. If this work is tested and it abides, the
builder receives a reward. Hallelujah. What sort of work are you doing? Is it a
shoddy work? I am reminded of these verses:
Supplementary Text
“Do
you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize?
Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes
into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do
it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like someone
running aimlessly. I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a
blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I
myself will not be disqualified for the prize.” 1 Corinthians 9v24-27 (NIV)
Prayer
King
of glory, we thank You for Your Word this day. We thank You for the work of our
hands. Father, we pray for the grace to do an enduring work that can be
rewarded in Jesus name, amen.
