The Holy Spirit and the spirit of this world (2)

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text

“Now we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the world, but the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, …” 1 Corinthians 2v12 (AMP)

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Beloved, we have not received the spirit that belongs to the world, but that which is from God. Amen. When our Lord Jesus was leaving, He had said, “If you love Me, keep My commands. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever – the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you.” (John 14v15-17, NIV). And of course we know that the Holy Spirit of God is given to the children of God, those who believe in and have put their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. 1 John 3v23-24 (AMP) says “And this is His order (His command, His injunction): that we should believe in (put our faith and trust in and adhere to and rely on) the name of His Son Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and that we should love one another, just as He has commanded us. All who keep His commandments [who obey His orders and follow His plan, live and continue to live, to stay and] abide in Him, and He in them. [They let Christ be a home to them and they are the home of Christ.] And by this we know and understand and have the proof that He [really] lives and makes His home in us: by the [Holy] Spirit Whom He has given us.” Amen.

“Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation – but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.” Romans 8v12-13 (NIV)

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your Word, and we thank You so much for Your Spirit that is with us and in us. Thank You for the salvation of our souls. We pray Lord of the harvest for those who do not know You, that You will send laborers to them in Jesus name we pray, amen.
