The Mind of the LORD

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His faithfulness. Thank God for His wisdom and foresightedness, and thank God that we are His.

Primary Text
“For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? ...” 1 Corinthians 2v16 (AMP)

“For, “Who can know the LORD’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach Him?” …” 1 Corinthians 2v16 (NLT)

Hallelujah. Our God is wiser than the wisest, greater than the greatest, better than the best. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the Almighty. He is therefore able to know how things will work out before we have even carried them out. He is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscience. He is also sometimes misunderstood. Many of us are familiar with the story of Job and the trials he experienced, in the midst of all this, he began to question God. And then God spoke to Him. Job 38v1-3 (NLT) saying “Then the LORD answered Job from the whirlwind: “Who is this that questions My wisdom with such ignorant words? Brace yourself like a man, because I have some questions for you, and you must answer them. “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you know so much. Who determined its dimensions and stretched out the surveying line? What supports its foundations, and who laid its cornerstone as the morning stars sang together and all the angels shouted for joy?” “The ostrich flaps her wings grandly, but they are no match for the feathers of the stork. She lays her eggs on top of the earth, letting them be warmed in the dust. She doesn’t worry that a foot might crush them or a wild animal might destroy them. She is harsh toward her young, as if they were not her own. She doesn’t care if they die. For God has deprived her of wisdom. He has given her no understanding. But whenever she jumps up to run, she passes the swiftest horse with its rider.” Job 39v13-18 (NLT). Here, God speaks about the visible things in the world. If we can barely begin to fathom the wonders of the visible world, and that within our immediate sphere, how could we begin to fathom things that we just do not know about – both visible and invisible.

Supplementary Text
“O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out! For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been His counsellor? Or who hath first given to Him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.” Romans 11v33-36 (KJV)

Prayer
O Lord our God, how excellent is Thy name in all the earth. What is man that You are mindful of him, or the son of man that Thou takest knowledge of him. Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels and crowned him with honor and majesty. Thank You for Your care for us, that even the very hair on our head is numbered. Thank You that regardless of everything that You do, You have time for us. Thank You Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We love and appreciate You in Jesus name, amen.
