The Gift of the Spirit

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for another new month.

Primary Text
“Now we have not received the spirit [that belongs to] the world, but the [Holy] Spirit Who is from God, [given to us] that we might realize and comprehend and appreciate the gifts [of divine favor and blessing so freely and lavishly] bestowed on us by God.” 1 Corinthians 2v12 (AMP)

“And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.” 1 Corinthians 2v12 (NLT)

One of the greatest gifts that God has given to us, is to have the Holy Spirit with us. Luke 11v9-13 (AMP) tells us “So I say to you, Ask and keep on asking and it shall be given you; seek and keep on seeking and you shall find; knock and keep on knocking and the door shall be opened to you. For everyone who asks and keeps on asking receives; and he who seeks and keeps on seeking finds; and to him who knocks and keeps on knocking, the door shall be opened. What father among you, if his son asks for a loaf of bread, will give him a stone; or if he asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent. Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, evil as you are, know how to give good gifts [gifts that are to their advantage] to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask and continue to ask Him!” The Holy Spirit dwelling with us and in us, then tells us of those things which God has freely given to us. He enables us to realize, comprehend and appreciate the wonderful things that God has given to us. Hallelujah. Do you need more the Spirit of God today? Do you speak in new tongues? Ask the Father, He will give you more of the Holy Spirit.

Supplementary Text
“But the fruit of the [Holy] Spirit [the work which His presence within accomplishes] is love, joy, (gladness), peace, patience (an even temper, forbearance), kindness, goodness (benevolence), faithfulness, Gentleness (meekness, humility), self-control (self-restraint, continence). Against such things there is no law [that can bring a charge].” Galatians 5v22-23 (AMP)

Prayer
Father, we thank You for Your Word. We thank You for Your faithfulness. We thank You for the salvation of our souls and Jesus dying on the Cross for us. We thank You for Your Holy Spirit dwelling with us and in us. We ask for more of Your Spirit, that You will fill us up with Your Spirit. For we know it is not by power, nor by might, but by Your Spirit. This we pray with thanksgiving in Jesus name, amen.
