Mercy!!!

Hello everyone --- How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Primary Text “Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” 1 Peter 2v10 (KJV) Mercy. What a wonderful word mercy is. Before we were without mercy, but now we have obtained mercy. Hebrews 4v14-16 (The Message) says “Now that we know what we have – Jesus, this great High Priest with ready access to God – let’s not let it slip through our fingers. We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with out reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all – all but the sin. So let’s walk right up to Him and get what He is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help.” Amen. The absence of mercy, can signify a lack of compassion, forgiveness, and kindness. Like in Exodus 1v13, the Bible tells us that “So the Egyptians worked the people of Israel without mercy.” God has shown us great mercy, and His Word says “Blessed (happy, to be envied, and spiritually prosperous -- with life – joy and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions) are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy!” (Matthew 5v7, AMP) and “For He shall have judgment without mercy, that have shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment” (James 2v13, KJV). Our God is good, and His mercy endures forever (Psalm 106v1; 107v1). Let us continue to hope in this mercy. Psalm 147v11 says “The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear Him, in those that hope in His mercy.” Supplementary Text “Don’t count on your warhorse to give you victory – for all its strength, it cannot save you. But the LORD watches over those who fear Him, those who rely on his unfailing love. He rescues them from death and keeps them alive in times of famine. We put out hope in the LORD. He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name. Let Your unfailing love surround us, LORD, for our hope is in You alone.” Psalm 33v17-22 (NIV) Father we thank You for Your mercy, Your unfailing love. Let Your mercy surround us continually, for our hope is in Your alone in Jesus name, amen.
