Mothers

Hello everyone-- How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for our mothers. Today is the official Mother’s day in the USA. Some other countries celebrate theirs on other days. But we thank God for our mothers – biological, spiritual, acquired one way or the other ☺ and the mothers our wives or we will one day be. Primary Text “Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment with a promise: If you honor your father and mother, “things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.” Ephesians 6v2-3 (NLT) Doing a search in the King James Bible for the word “mother” brings up 299 results, while the New International Version gives 324 results (search done in www.biblegateway.com). It will be good to do a study on mothers in the Bible. Indeed, we thank God for all our mothers. Remember: Supplementary Text “Listen to your father, who gave you life, and don’t despise your mother when she is old.” Proverbs 23v22 (NLT) Father, we thank You for Your Word this day and for all mothers. We thank You for their lives and pray that You bless them, giving them the strength, wisdom, and grace to be all that You want them to be. For our mothers that do not know You, we pray that You will send labourers to them, that when You come back, they may not be found wanting, in Jesus name, amen.
