Keep Doing Good

Hello everyone, How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. You know, God has been really good to us. In our lives, we may encounter different things that try us, want to sadden us. But God is faithful. He gives us a roof over our head, food to eat, family, friends and loved ones to cheer us up. In fact, He keeps us standing, exemplifying the Word “People who do what is right may have many problems, but the Lord will solve them all.” (Psalm 34v19, NCV). Amen. Now the Word says: Primary Text “For it is God’s will and intention that by doing right [your good and honest lives] should silence (muzzle, gag) the ignorant charges and ill-informed criticisms of foolish persons.” 1 Peter 2v15 (AMP) “It is God’s desire that by doing good you should stop foolish people from saying stupid things about you.” 1 Peter 2v15 (NCV) This Scripture states clearly one of God’s will, His desire – that we use good to overcome and silence the ignorant things and criticisms which people might say against us. So what do we do when we face this opposition, we continue to do right, live good and honest lives. We see Daniel for example who faced opposition. He had an excellent spirit and the king planned to place him over the entire empire. Daniel 6v4-5 (NLT) says “Then the other administrators and high officers began searching for some fault in the way Daniel was handling government affairs, but they couldn’t find anything to criticize or condemn. He was faithful, always responsible, and completely trustworthy. So they concluded, “Our only chance of finding grounds for accusing Daniel will be in connections with the rules of his religion.”” After orchestrating things in such a way that Daniel ended up being thrown in the lions’ den but God sent an angel to shut up the mouths of the lions. When asked of the king, “Daniel answered, “Long live the king! My God sent His angel to shut the lions’ mouths so that they would not hurt me, for I have been found innocent in His sight. And I have not wronged you, Your Majesty.”” Daniel 6v21-22 (NLT). Beloved, keep doing good and right regardless of the circumstances, and God will continue to show up for you in Jesus name, amen. Supplementary Text “Repay no one evil for evil, but take thought for what is honest and proper and noble [aiming to be above reproach] in the sight of everyone. If possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” Romans 12v17-18 (AMP) Father, I thank You for Your Word this day. Please Father grant me the grace that in the face of opposition, I will be able to continue to do right in Jesus name, amen.
