Assurance of Victory (Moses, 9)

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. While God Himself is our help, He sometimes uses men to help us along the way. For instance He gives husbands, wives, children, friends, associates, and even strangers sometimes, can be used to provide help at particular points or stages in our lives. We see that Aaron became a help to Moses, Ruth to Naomi, Mordecai to Esther...

Primary Text: Exodus 4v19&20
“And the LORD said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses. And he went and met him in the mount of God, and kissed him.” Exodus 4v27

Again for one particular battle, it turns out that the strategy that the Israelites needed to win, required Moses hands to be raised up, and when his hands grew heavy, Aaron and Hur helped to keep his hands up. While God might have called us as individuals to carry out certain assignments for Him, it is still important to recognize and appreciate those around us who help us to accomplish this, whether through their encouragement, love, advice, the way they challenge you, or just make things that would have seemed so difficult, easier; not forgetting that we also might have been called to provide the same help to someone else ☺

Subsidiary Texts: Exodus 17v11&12, Ecclesiastes 4v9&10, Romans 16v3, Romans 16v9, 2 Corinthians 1v24
“And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.” Exodus 17v11&12

“Two people are better off than one; for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.” Ecclesiastes 4v9-10 (New Living Translation)

“Greet Priscilla and Aquila my helpers in Christ Jesus:” Romans 16v3

“Salute Urbane, our helper in Christ, and Stachys my beloved.” Romans 16v9

“Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.” 2 Corinthians 1v24

Have a blessed day.
