Overcoming Tactics (5)

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His mercies, His grace, and the awesome power in His Word. We hear it said that we should read the Word, and meditate on the Word, and know the Word of God. As a believer, one of the weapons we have to overcome is the Word of God.

Primary Text: Ephesians 6v17
“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:” Ephesians 6v17 (KJV)

The Word of God is also referred to as the sword of the Spirit. With it, we use it to attack the evil one. This Word is alive, it is effective, full of power, and sharper than any two-edged sword. It has superiority over every other word, situation, and circumstance. It is forever settled. Once God has spoken a Word, it accomplishes all that He sends it to, it fulfills that which He pleases. His every Word concerning you shall come to pass, be patient.

Subsidiary Texts: Hebrews 4v12-13; Ephesians 6v17, Luke 4v32, Revelations 12v11, Psalm 119v89
“For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.
And not a creature exists that is concealed from His sight, but all things are open and exposed, naked and defenseless to the eyes of Him with Whom we have to do.” Hebrews 4v12-13 (Amplified Bible)

“And they were astonished at His doctrine: for His word was with power.” Luke 4v32

“For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Isaiah 55v10-11

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Revelations 12v11

“For ever, O LORD, Thy Word is settled in heaven.” Psalm 119v89
