Overcomer

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His love, His mercies, His grace, His love over us.
Primary Text: 1 John 5v4-5
“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?” 1 John 5v4-5 (King James Version)
Synonyms for overcome include: surmount, conquer, defeat, beat, rise above, overwhelm, and overpower. As people who are born of God, we become overcomers - of the world, of the things that we face while we are here on earth... And it is our faith, which causes us to overcome, our faith in the Son of God, who gave His life for us. So, from now on dearly beloved let it be engrained in your heart that because you are a child of God who believes that Jesus is the Son of God, and have faith in Him, you are an overcomer. A surmounter not the surmounted; the conqueror, not the conquered; the defeater, not the defeated. Because of your faith and that you believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

Prayer
Father, we thank You for this day which You have made, which we can rejoice and be glad in. We thank You for Your great love for us. We thank You because we know that we are in the world, but we are not of the world. We thank You because of our faith and because we believe that Jesus is the Son of God, we have overcome the world. Thank You for the Greater One that is on the inside of us. Thank You because we can be of good cheer because Jesus has overcome the world. Blessed be Your holy name forevermore. We pray that if ever we feel down, or low, that You will bring these words to our remembrance, even the assurance of our victory, by Your Spirit who is dwelling with us and is in us. May Your Name alone be glorified in our lives. We thank Father, Son and Holy Ghost, in Jesus matchless and wonderful name we pray with thanksgiving, amen.
