Assurance of Victory (Moses)

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Happy happy Sunday. I hope you have had a fantastic day so far ☺ Now, perhaps you are in a place where you feel you are “just there.” Nothing seems to be happening. You have done something(s) in your past that you would rather forget, and are just living life in the present. And then, something spectacular happens, and it seems that God is beckoning you to come and do exploits for Him (for He has a plan for each and every one of our lives), and then the doubts and fears are coming back. Relax, with God, victory is assured. Even Moses realized that.

Primary Text: Exodus 3v4,10-11
“And when the LORD saw that he truned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.
Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth My people the children of Israel out of Egypt. And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?” Exodus 3v10-11

You have answered the call of God, saying here am I. God has mentioned the issues He sees around, and He is saying, I am sending you to be the one to bring about the change. And then the excuses begin. The first one Moses presents is, Who am I… He questions his worth. He doesn’t see himself as qualified, or perhaps as an appropriate ambassador for God.

Subsidiary Text: John 15v16, 1 Corinthians 1v26-29
“Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it you.” John 15v16

“For [simply] consider your own call, brethren; not many [of you were considered to be] wise according to human estimates and standards, not many influential and powerful, not many of high and noble birth. [No] for God selected (deliberately chose) what in the world is foolish to put the wise to shame, and what the world calls weak to put the strong to shame. And God also (deliberately chose) what in the world is lowborn and insignificant and branded and treated with contempt, even the things that are nothing, that He might depose and bring to nothing the things that are, So that no mortal man should [have pretense for glorying and] boast in the presence of God.” 1 Corinthians 1v26-29 (Amplified Bible)

“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.” Philippians 2v13

Prayer
Father, we thank You so much for choosing us. We make our boast in You. We are delighted to be called by You, and we pray for the grace to not limit You, but allow You to do what You will in our lives in Jesus name, amen.
