His Perfect Peace
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God for His great mercy and love for us. A wonderful relationship seems to exist between keeping our mind on God, trusting in Him, and peace.
Primary Text – Isaiah 26v3
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed is stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in Thee.” Isaiah 26v3 (KJV)
“You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You.” Isaiah 26v3 (AMP)
Before Jesus left the earth, He gave one thing to His disciples – His peace. Jesus had the sort of peace that even when the storms were raging, He could fall asleep ☺ (Mark 4v36-38). While my God says that there is no peace to the wicked (Isaiah 57v21), God keeps certain people in perfect peace. Prayer is one way in which we can keep our mind on God and show and reaffirm our trust and reliance in Him.
Supplementary Texts
“Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]” John 14v27 (AMP)
“So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages].” Isaiah 26v4 (AMP)
“Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4v6&7 (AMP)
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4v6&7 (New Living Translation).
Prayer
Father, I thank You so much for the peace given us by the Lord Jesus, and being able to pray about everything, and to tell You my needs, in Jesus name, amen.
