The Armor
Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. It is rare to have a soldier go to battle without some form of defense. As children of God, we are encouraged to:
Primary Text:
“Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.” Ephesians 6v11 (AMP)
As believers, we are in a battle. We have an enemy who seeks to steal, to kill and to destroy, but we thank God because Jesus came, to give us life, and life in abundance (John 10v10). Hallelujah! Though we are in this battle, and the devil has all kinds of strategies and schemes, we also have the armor of God, which He gives to us. We are also assured of victory, as the Bible tells us that “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of His knowledge by us in every place” (2 Corinthians 2v14). Hallelujah, we have the Lord of hosts on our side. We see a practical example of the fight between David and Goliath. David came against Goliath in the name of the Lord of hosts. What is that challenge that has come your way again? Because of the Lord, you shall overcome in Jesus name, amen.
Supplementary Text:
“And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance. And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field. Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield, but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD’s, and He will give you into our hands.” 1 Samuel 17v42-47 (KJV)
Prayer
Father, I thank You so much for the victory You always give to us in Jesus name, amen.
