God’s Work

9 September 2011:

Hello everyone,
How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. Our God is good, and He has plans for your life (Jeremiah 29v11). But sometimes, we do not know how God is working everything out. The Bible says:

Primary Text:
“As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.” Ecclesiastes 11v4-5 (KJV)

Sometimes it is in retrospect that you see, ah ah, that’s how this worked out. His ways are not your ways, and His thoughts are not your thoughts (Isaiah 55v8). He may not do things the way you think it should be done, or He may not give you what you think He should. But one thing we can be rest assured about is that God has a plan and a purpose for your life, and that all things work together for the good of them that love Him, and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8v28). So what do we do when we do not understand what is happening? For one, never stop following God, instead trust Him. Joseph is a good example of someone who despite the trying situation, he did not sin against God, and God was with him even wherever he was at. He was able to say to his brothers that “But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.” (Genesis 50v20). Because you are going through tough times doesn’t mean God doesn’t love you. Hang in there. Remember:

Supplementary Text:
“Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.” (Ecclesiastes 3v11, NLT)

Prayer
Father, I thank You so much for Your Word today. Father, even when I don’t understand what is happening, I trust You, I believe in You, I love You, and I commit my spirit into Your hands for safe keeping in Jesus name, amen.
