Remember!!!

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text
“Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck. For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another.” Psalm 75v5-7 (KJV)

One warning that the Lord gave to the children of Israel, was that when they got to a place of wealth, they should remember God, because He was the One who gave the power to get wealth (Deuteronomy 8). Haven started with Christ, never ever think you can make it all by yourself, and don’t be deceived to think that you got where you are based on your own strength, or might, or intelligence, or connections. Like John the Baptist said… “A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.” (John 2v27). This is a humbling and comforting thought at the same time. Humbling to remind us of our dependence on Christ, on our God, without whom we are nothing. Comforting as well to know that our times are in His hands, and He being a great and merciful God can take us to heights unimaginable. We see this in the lives of Job, Solomon, David, Joseph, Daniel, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ruth, Esther, Mordecai, Jesus. Hallelujah. But more exciting than life abundantly which we enjoy here on earth, is the fact that we can spend eternity with the Lord, who has already gone to prepare a place for us. In that too, He is the One that is able to keep us from falling and to present us faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy (Jude 1v25). Hallelujah.

Supplementary Text
“When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good land which He hath given thee. Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping His commandments, and His judgments, and His statutes, which I command thee this day, Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein; … And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth. But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.” Deuteronomy 8v10-12 & 17-18 (KJV)

Prayer
Father, I thank You for who You have made me to be. Indeed apart from You I am nothing, and without You I can do nothing. I give all glory to You in Jesus name, amen. Father, everything of pride, and forgetfulness of Your benefits, I repent of it, and ask that You uproot from me today in Jesus name, amen.
