God is not a man

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. We thank God because indeed He is not a man, He is God.

Primary Text
“God is not a man, so He does not lie. He is not human, so He does not change His mind. Has He ever spoken and failed to act? Has He ever promised and not carried it through?” Numbers 23v19 (NLT)

Indeed, Jesus said, God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4v24). From Scripture, we see that God not being a man, has many implications. For one, God does not lie, He is Truth, True, and Faithful. Furthermore, He doesn’t change His mind like humans, up today, and down tomorrow. “What He says He will do, He does. What He promises, He makes come true.” (Numbers 23v19, NCV). Furthermore, the fact that God is not a man, means that He doesn’t see as man sees. While man looks on the appearance, God looks on the heart (1 Samuel 16v7). Again, we see that the things that are impossible with man, are possible with God (Luke 18v27). He is not a man. Man is so limited, but God is limitless, He specializes in the impossible. He can speak to a person, and a situation the way He only can, because He is the Creator of man. Thus, we see that Saul who had been going about persecuting the church, when Jesus spoke to him, he changed. We also know that His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55v8). We thank God for we serve a great and mighty God. Thank God that He is in charge of our lives. He is indeed faithful!

Supplementary Text
“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the LORD. “And My ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so My ways are higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts. “The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with My word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it.” Isaiah 55v8-12 (NLT)
