My Help

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord. When in need of help, where do you turn to? Who do you go to?

Primary Text:
“I lift up my eyes to the mountains – where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.” Psalm 121v1-2 (NIV)

We bless God for He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46v1). He is our Help, He will not let your foot to slip, and He that keeps you neither slumbers or sleeps (Psalm 121v3). He isn’t away on vacation or talking to someone else, that He won’t be able to see you or hear you. Iniquity and sin is what separates us from God, as the Bible says – “Behold, the LORD’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither His ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear.” (Isaiah 59v1-2, KJV). Never tire of asking God for help. He has said to come boldly before His throne of grace, where we can obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4v16). Don’t try to play macho. Let God help you!

Supplementary Text:
“In the thirty-sixth year of Asa’s reign Baasha king of Israel went up against Judah and fortified Ramah to prevent anyone from leaving or entering the territory of Asa king of Judah. Asa then took the silver and gold out of the treasuries of the LORD’s temple and of his own palace and sent it to Ben-Hadad king of Aram, who was ruling in Damascus. “Let there be a treaty between me and you,” he said, “as there was between my father and your father. See, I am sending you silver and gold. Now break your treaty with Baasha king of Israel so he will withdraw from me.” Ben-Hadad agreed with King Asa and sent the commanders of his forces against the towns of Israel. They conquered Ijon, Dan, Abel Maim and all the store cities of Naphtali. … At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah and said to him: “Because you relied on the king of Aram and not on the LORD your God, the army of the king of Aram has escaped from your hand. Were not the Cushites and Libyans a mighty army with great numbers of chariots and horsemen? Yet when you relied on the LORD, he delivered them into your hand. For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. You have done a foolish thing, and from now on you will be at war.” 2 Chronicles 16v1-4&7-9
