Stand Strong

Hello everyone,

How are you doing on this day? I hope well and bubbling in the Lord.

Primary Text:
“In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].
Ephesians 6v10

We need strength for practically everything that we do in life – although some activities require more strength than others. There is also the strength that goes beyond physical brute strength, for instance, the strength of the spirit, and of the mind. This strength can be tested, when adversity comes. Thus Bible says, “If you fail under pressure, your strength is too small”, “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.” Proverbs 24v10 (NLT, KJV). It takes strength to stand in adversity; to love - love that is patient, kind, hopeth all things, endures all things; to serve the Lord and not turn back; to practice self control. It takes strength. And that strength we get from the Lord. The Bible says “He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.” (Proverbs 16v32). The strength to restrain oneself, is seen as better than the strength of the mighty, or of a strong fighter. We renew our strength by waiting on the Lord. Apart from the Lord, we are nothing (John 15v5). We need the strength that comes from Him. Are you in need of strength right now? Ask of Him, and draw on His strength.

Supplementary Text:
“I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].” Philippians 4v13 (AMP)

“Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of His understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40v28-31 (NLT)
